I am a thirty-something, happily married, working mother of 6 beautiful children (ages 2 to 22 years). My passions are faith, family, food, fashion, flying and fun – all with a touch of frugality. As a self-certified foodie, I love to cook, explore new restaurants, cuisines, cooking styles, cookbooks, recipes, etc. I am an avid DIYer that loves to sew, craft, build, fix and create at home, for the home, family, friends and anything or anyone in need.
As a NW Indiana resident, I also write for Chitown Moms, a resourceful website for Chicago and surrounding area moms. You may have seen me and my family in the Chicago Tribune as a mom that weighed in on the connection between food allergies and infancy food choices. Or maybe you witnessed me taking on the plant-based diet as a weight loss challenge contender on Steve Harvey TV. All of these events gave me the opportunity to reach so many women and inspire better living for themselves, their families and their communities. I am humbled and honored to be a part of that effort.
I created this blog as an avenue to explore the many facets of the modern day, Proverbs 31 “Wonder Woman.” We do it all, don’t we ladies? Whether you are a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt or friend, we are all PThirty1’s in our own way. It is my hope that you come here to share and discover more on all that life has to offer and live, laugh, love and learn along the way. Carpe diem ;)!
